Hi friends,
This month we will be having another virtual practice alongside the new and full moon. These classes will be themed around the surrounding astrology and planetary happenings, a great way to raise our awareness to patterns and practice coming back home to our interconnectedness.
New Moon Yoga & Meditation – Nov 13th at 6pm pacific
During the new moon phase the moon is invisible and is a reminder that even if we can’t see something, its influence can still be powerful. Alongside the moon’s position in scorpio, a sign that invites us to dig into ourselves and become aware of what’s hiding within our inner worlds, I thought this would be a great time to practice trusting our intuition.
Intuition is often attributed to a gut feeling, but it’s much more visceral. Intuition is an understanding and awareness of yourself that flows through everything and connects at a deeper and more unconscious level than that provided by logical thought. Most of us are disconnected from this internal force because it lives in the body, which we often disregard and exhaust while choosing to live in the mind.
Our new moon yoga class will be centered on a mindfulness of the body through gentle yoga, a body scan meditation, cannabis, and relying on your body for answers.

Full Moon Restorative – Nov 27th at 6pm pacific
Unlike the new moon, the full moon illuminates the night sky and shines a light on the hidden corners of ourselves. While the new moon can be a time for setting intentions, the full moon is a place of wholeness and rest. With this in mind our full moon yoga practice is a restorative class where very gentle poses are held for at least 5 minutes (bring your pillows and blankets!).
The full moon is in Gemini, which is related to how we communicate. Over the past month we’ve witnessed one of the most morally egregious and intense bombing campaigns in recent history. The outcry, internal opposition, and cumulative grief resulting from the genocide unfolding in Gaza (and Congo, and Sudan, and Haiti) has revealed where we as a whole are deeply lacking compassionate communication and fail to see its vital role in collective liberation.
This full moon practice is an invitation to practice responding rather than reacting, even in the face of strong emotions. Through restful yoga and non grasping we’ll find power in pausing long enough to lead with compassionate communication and integrity.

*All new and full moon classes are free for portal member’s to join (scroll to the end of this letter for the sign up code) and a recording of the class will be uploaded to the library as well.
Incase you missed it, two classes were recently added to the yoga portal.
The most recent class is an evening wind down, a 15 min seated yoga practice to wind down after work, as the sunsets, or before settling into your bed time routine (find it in the ‘newest class’ section of the library).
I also shared heart balm, a restorative yoga class to keep your heart from breaking in uncertain and trying times (find it in the ‘chill/restorative’ section of the library).
Both practices are bite sized to fit into any moment of your day.
I hope these offerings support your constant unfurling.
